Use of Oaken Bath tubs and Pools

Our Oaken tubs and pools have unique properties: oak wood adds its health improving substances to the bathing water. For this reason they provide with unique effects. Medicinal and preventive properties of our Bath tubs made of the Caucasian mountain oak were highly appreciated during laboratory and clinical tests, conducted at the Military &  Medical Academy, the leading medical institution in Russia.

Properties

Hot bath water in the Bath tub made of the Caucasian mountain oak contains: tannin (1,0-2,0%), gallic acid (0,1%), pentosan (1,3-1,4%), pectins (0,6%), flavone compounds - quercitine (physiologically active substances with many-sided action spectrum), and fatty oil (0,5%).
The Bath tub water has strongly pronounced astringent and thickening tissular membrane property, consequently it gives antiseptic and anti-inflammatory action; it stimulates cellular regeneration (wound healing activity), increasing the process of cicatrization. The baths taken in the oaken Bath tubs provide with a positive influence upon many important processes of the body. First, it improves the process of heat regulation and metabolism (that leads to excess weight loss). It positively influence the cardiovascular system and respiratory function, etc.The same refers to oaken pools.

Our wood tubs and pools are OK to be used both in hot and cold tempretures. They are water resistant. They are resistant to high change in tempretures. Here you can see that our oaken tubs and pools serve well even in Siberia outdoor at 50 Celsus degrees (-58 F) below zero! They are used here for quick water plunging (after sauna or steam bath) or soaking in warm water.

Other sizes are available. We offer customized tubs, pools, planters, and barrels according to client needs or specifications (not exceeding 3 meters or 1180 inches in length or diameter).
